   Heavy-duty grinding wheel is a new type of grinding wheel with high grinding efficiency. Heavy-duty grinding wheels are mainly made of high heat-resistant resin as binder, imported coarse-grained zirconium corundum and sintered corundum as abrasives, and are formed by hot pressing.

   Heavy-duty grinding wheels are characterized by fast working speed, high grinding pressure, and high grinding efficiency. The main abrasives used in heavy-duty grinding wheels are as follows:

   （ 1 ）Brown corundum abrasive.   This abrasive has high toughness and strong anti-fragility. It is usually used to manufacture medium and low load heavy-duty grinding wheels.

   （ 2 ）Sintered corundum abrasive.   Sintered corundum can be divided into alumina sintered corundum, alumina sintered corundum and zirconium corundum sintered abrasives. These sintered corundum abrasives are suitable for manufacturing heavy-duty grinding wheels.

   （ 3 ）Zirconium corundum abrasive.   This is a highly efficient abrasive, currently widely used in foreign countries for manufacturing heavy-duty grinding wheels. Generally, the content of zirconia corundum is required to be 25 % to 40 %，the crystal size is 20 microns, and the maximum does not exceed 40 microns. Containing 25 % zirconia corundum powder is usually used to manufacture heavy-duty grinding wheels.
