Superhard abrasives are abrasive tools made of artificially made diamond or cubic boron nitride superhard abrasives, which are another major series of abrasive tools. Superhard abrasive tools have the following characteristics and markings: concentration, binder, grain size, abrasive grade, abrasive layer thickness, pore size, total thickness, diameter, shape code. These characteristics and markings are in accordance with the provisions of each standard in the Chinese Mechanical Industry Standards published by China Publishing House, compiled by the National Abrasive and Abrasive Tools Standardization Technical Committee in 1998. Regarding concentration: It is roughly the same as the organizational number of bonded abrasive tools, but it should be indicated in the marking of superhard abrasive tools. The so-called concentration refers to the number of grams of superhard abrasive contained in each cubic centimeter of superhard abrasive tool, expressed as a percentage. Concentration codes are as follows: Code Abrasive content (g/cm3) Concentration 25 0.22 25% 50 0.44 50% 75 0.66 75% 100 0.88 100% 150 1.32 150% Regarding the binder: It refers to the type of binder used in superhard abrasive tools.
